Astrid Klomp
Field Exchange Sub-Editor and Content Coordinator
Astrid joined ENN in November 2024 and is a sub-editor and content coordinator of ENN’s flagship publication Field Exchange.
Astrid is a registered nurse and IBCLC (International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant) and holds an MSc in international health from Uppsala University and an MSc in nutrition for global health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. Astrid has over 20 years of experience in clinical work and humanitarian work within maternal and child health and nutrition.
She has held various positions with international non-governmental organisations, including Medair and Action Against Hunger (ACF) in programme design, implementation, and evaluation and training and knowledge management.
Astrid spent 8 years living and working in development and humanitarian settings in India, South Sudan, Bangladesh, Iraq, Afghanistan, Lebanon and Occupied Palestinian Territories. Key technical areas of experience to Astrid include Management of small & nutritionally At-risk Infants under six months & their Mothers (MAMI), Infant and Young Child Feeding in Emergencies (IYCF-E), and Community-Based Management of Acute Malnutrition (CMAM).
