Dima Ousta
IFE Core Group Coordinator
Dima is a multi-lingual public health nutritionist with more than 12 years of experience in low-, middle- and high-income countries. She is passionate about Infant and Young Child Feeding in Emergencies (IYCF-E) and is always looking for ways to continue contributing to this field at the global level. She joined ENN as IFE Core Group Coordinator after relocating to Lebanon from Australia.
Dima's involvement in NiE and IYCF(-E) started in response to the Syria Crisis in Lebanon in 2012. She then went on to work in Serbia and Greece to assist with the Europe Refugee/Migrant Crisis in 2015-2016. Her experience in NiE and IYCF-E spans programme planning, management and evaluation, training, policy and procedure development. In 2016 she moved to Australia where she worked in health promotion at the municipal and health district level with New South Wales Health. In 2020 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic she took on leadership roles in active public health contact tracing and management. She held roles in various institutions and organisations such as academia, INGOs, UNICEF and government.
Dima holds a B.Sc. in Nutrition & Dietetics from the American University of Beirut in Lebanon and an M.Sc. in Human Nutrition from McGill University in Canada.
