Heather Ohly

Heather joined ENN as a Senior Nutritionist in September 2024, working across ENN’s portfolio with a focus on Maternal Nutrition, MAMI and Field Exchange.

Before joining ENN, Heather worked in academic research looking at various aspects of maternal and child nutrition. Her PhD investigated the use of food vouchers by low-income pregnant women in the UK. She was co-investigator on an interdisciplinary research programme exploring solutions to zinc and iron deficiency in a marginalised community in Pakistan.

Heather has also worked as an independent consultant to the UN, USAID, N4D, IRD, and the University of Ghana. This included research, evaluation and evidence synthesis across the wider spectrum of nutrition, food security and food systems.
