Identifying and supporting infants under 6-months with feeding difficulties and disabilities
Publication details
An overview of resources and evidence
Increasingly, attention and concern are being directed towards the needs and rights of infants and young children with disabilities. In the context of "MAMI", there are increasing requests on “how” to manage infants less than 6 months with feeding difficulties or suspected/confirmed disability and concerns regarding the lack of attention to this age group and little evidence to guide care. This brief is divided into sections on Practice, Policy Guidance, Evidence, and Ongoing Initiatives related to feeding difficulties and disability, with a focus on under 6 months.
