Infant Feeding in Emergencies (IFE) Making it Matter: Report of an international strategy meeting (2006)

Report of an international strategy meeting on infant and young child feeding in emergencies, held by the IFE Core Group in Oxford, 1-2 November, 2006.

A 2 day meeting held in Oxford, UK, 1-2 November, 2006, held by the IFE Core Group and organised by ENN. The aim of the meeting was to identify key constraints to supporting and protecting appropriate infant feeding practices in emergencies, and to develop strategy directions and practical steps to address them. It was attended by 58 international delegates including representation from Indonesia, Lebanon, Kenya, Mexico and India. Funding to implement recommended action points agreed at the meeting was subsequently secured from the Global Nutrition Cluster in 2007.

The meeting was funded by UNICEF, IBFAN-GIFA, CARE USA.
