Emergency Nutrition Network (ENN) adopts the TRUST code to champion equitable research partnerships
The Emergency Nutrition Network (ENN) is proud to announce its adoption of the TRUST Code – A Global Code of Conduct for Equitable Research Partnerships, reinforcing its commitment to ethical and equitable practices in global research collaborations.
The TRUST Code sets a global standard to prevent exploitation in international research. With this announcement, ENN joins a prestigious list of adopters, including the European Commission, Nature Portfolio, and the University of Cape Town, among others.
"Adopting the TRUST Code aligns with ENN’s core values. As an organization dedicated to improving nutrition outcomes in vulnerable communities, we recognize the importance of equitable partnerships. This Code provides a clear framework to ensure our collaborations are rooted in mutual respect and shared benefits, ultimately enhancing the impact of our work," said Nigel Tricks, Chief Executive of ENN.
The TRUST Code, launched in 2018 at the European Parliament, has been widely adopted by institutions worldwide, including funders, universities, and NGOs. Its principles guide research in resource-limited settings, promoting transparency and reducing power imbalances.
