MAMI Care Pathway Package, Version 3 (2021)
Publication details
The MAMI Care Pathway Package (v3, 2021) is an implementation guide that comprises of a framework, user guides, assessment, and management tools to support the management of small and nutritionally at-risk infants under 6 months and their mothers within systems of health. It applies an integrated care pathway approach to manage clinical issues, growth faltering, infant feeding problems and maternal health and wellbeing across different parts and levels of health services and systems. The resources centre on case management delivered at primary level health services (outpatient and community services). However, the resources can also be used to support the delivery of care to clinically stable infants in inpatient settings. It is aimed at practitioners and those who plan services to identify and strengthen pathways of care within existing services and should be contextualised to each setting. (Note: This is an update from the previous MAMI tools.)
