IFE Core Group Meeting Report 2022

The IFE Core Group (IFE CG) 2022 Annual Meeting was hosted by ENN and held online with remote participation over three days (October 24^th, 25^th, and 27^th, 2022). The meeting was facilitated by the IFE Core Group Steering Committee (IFE CG SC) members. The meeting agenda can be found in Appendix 1. The meeting aimed to gather IFE CG members to discuss progress in IFE CG activities, reflect on experiences during the year, and plan for the coming year.

The meeting objectives were to:

• Review IFE CG progress during 2022
• Identify priority areas and actions for the 2023 work plan to be delivered by the collective based on the IFE Core Group Strategy and Action Plan

The main outputs of the meeting were:

1. The generation of key priority areas that served as the basis for the 2023 IFE Core Group workplan
2. The generation of a meeting report with key follow-up actions IFE CG members attended the meeting.

The meeting was conducted online with remote participation for approximately one and a half days, spread over three days. Morning and afternoon sessions with similar agendas were held each day to accommodate members in different time zones. A total of 36 IFE CG members attended the meeting across the three days. See Appendix 2 for a full list of participants. Topics covered on the first day included a synopsis of key moments in infant and young child feeding in emergencies (IYCF-E) for 2022, an update on the IFE CG annual work plan, and a discussion of gaps, challenges, enablers and priorities in IYCF-E. On the second day, participants broke up into working groups to discuss activities under each output of the IFE CG work plan. The day concluded with a plenary discussion on priorities and activities under each output. On the final day, the working groups presented the outcomes of their discussions. A plenary discussion on ways of working as well as priority activities was also held. Brief IFE CG member updates took place between the sessions over the three days (see Appendix 3). This report provides an overview of the meeting's proceedings, including key priority areas and actions that will serve as the basis for a 2023 work plan.
