Members of the MAMI Global Network and the MAMI Co-leads at ENN and LSHTM directly contribute to international and national policy guidance development:
- Policy review: scoping all documents relevant to under six months and their mothers. Invisible pursuit: global policy guidance on care of vulnerable infants under 6 months and their mothers, a scoping review.
- Active engagement with WHO guideline development.
- Advocacy and engagement led to outpatient-based management of uncomplicated cases of wasting in infants under six months to be recommended in the WHO 2013 guideline: updates on the management of severe acute malnutrition in infants and children.
- Active engagement with WHO guideline development.
- Key concepts of the MAMI Care Pathway are included in the WHO 2023 guideline on the prevention and management of wasting and nutritional oedema (acute malnutrition) in infants and children under 5 years of age. You can also read our blog.
